Our 1700 square foot light-filled condo is on the third floor of a four-story elevated building. It has spectacular and expansive long water views of mangroves, the Intracoastal Waterway and wide, pristine Placida Harbor. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a very comfortable living/dining room, a good sized kitchen with breakfast bar and stools, a separate breakfast area and a large screened lanai.  It is very nicely furnished with good, white-washed French provincial designer pieces, original art, hand painted faux finished walls, and state-of-the-art technology.  

The apartment has cable television in the living room and master bedroom, cable broadband internet access, a printer and a Wi-Fi network that lets you browse the web or work on your laptop anywhere in the unit - including the lanai!  (Set-up is easy and a "visitor" Wi-Fi card and set-up disk - with detailed instructions - are available for your use.)

Living-Dining Room

   

The very comfortable living room has two large sofas (one a convertible), a big glass-topped coffee table, a barrel chair, and TV/VCR/DVD in a closed cabinet. Watch the boats go by sitting on the sofas or turn to the assortment of games, books or, in a pinch, the cable TV. Several pieces of art - some originals - adorn the faux painted walls.

 

The Dining area has a round glass-topped table with four chairs (and two additional ones for guests) and an attractive chandelier.  There is a large pickled provincial sideboard with an upper tier reminiscent of a baker's rack.

The large screened lanai has a glass-topped table and four chairs. The wide open views out across the mangroves to the ICW and Harbor are rarely boring. 


bulletKitchen - Breakfast Room

            

The well-equipped "cooks" kitchen includes all the usual appliances plus a cuisinart, coffee-maker, coffee grinder, juicer, blender and mixer. There is service for eight (plus) in dishes, flatware, and glassware plus an assortment of serving plates and bowls. A  set of forged Henckel  kitchen knives, good pots and pans, a crab pot, extensive bake-ware, and a basic spice rack are also provided. 

A small breakfast room with glass-topped table and two chairs sits in front of sliding doors that open to the screened porch at the entrance to the unit. The screen porch has been decorated with large high-end silk foliage plants, along with a hand-painted bench and shoe "box" by a local artist, a 2-dimensional wall sculpture and a hand carved ibis.  The foyer bookcase holds a small assortment of Florida-specific cookbooks, two notebooks with appliance manuals, and an album with area information.

The master bedroom has the same views of the ICW and Harbor as the living room, a door to the lanai, a private bath with separate shower, plus a queen-size bed, dresser, two night tables, two reading lights, a barrel chair and desk with chair. There is a cable television with a VCR.

The light and airy second bedroom has two twin beds, a charming hand-painted chest, and a dresser.  Plus bed lamps and dresser lamp.  Its views are of the back screened-in porch and the courtyard beyond. The second bath has a tub/shower combination. In the bedroom closet is a desk and lamp, the broadband ad Wi-Fi Access points and a combination printer, fax, copier and scanner.

bulletMiscellaneous

There is a washer-dryer in the unit. Included are all linens - sheets, towels, beach towels, kitchen towels, place mats - an iron and ironing board, and vacuum cleaner plus beach chairs, a light-weight beach umbrella, a "Neat Sheet" and insulated tote for the beach. Please, no smoking inside the apartment.

bulletA Boat?

Placida Harbour is not able to accommodate tenants'  boats in the basin.  But if you would like to bring your boat, please call. There are some very good alternatives (for instance, we own a boat slip on Little Gasparilla Island).

We regret that tenants are not permitted to bring pets to Placida Harbour.
